I LOST THE GAME
Whats a good amp sim that does require the matching interface. I wanted to use POD 2.0 but you have to have a line 6 interface. Or iLok? can someone explain that to me? Thanks

:cool:

I guess that's just how they do it. If you have the hardware it's kind of nice because you can install it on as many computers as you want and just have the unit connected when you want to use it. BTW it doesn't have to be an interface, you can use a POD or some of the other hardware they offer.

I have been leening alittle more toward amplitude. Do you have any experiance with that program? Thanks

perhaps you mean amplitube?
i falling in love with that software. especially amplitube metal :D

Ya. i meant amplitube. I would get it, but its alittle out of my price range. I wish I would find 3000$ on my doorstep tomarrow. Doesn't everyone? :D

I've have amplitube and used it on quite a few songs, but the distortion settings really blow compared to micing real amp. If I try to use a distortion setting, I generally have to follow it with a tape simulator and speaker cab enhancer, but even then it sounds pretty generic. The clean tones are solid. My experience with Guitar Rig and Waves GTR is exactly the same. GTR is super cheap right now, so you might give it a try.

why not "evaluate" amplitube for free using the "conventional" methods of most "producers".

this post does not encouage stealing, void where prohibited :)

please purchase software before you make any money with it...

I have an older version of Guitar Rig...its pretty good for what it is, the effects are great

I have a dodgy Thai copy of amplitube 3 (bad man)...seems better sounding tones (like Id know)

I have Overlouds TH-1, very good for Rock stuff...good interface as well

I have Pod Farm with all the add on packs, not sure about the guitar stuff, I like the bass and vocal preamp sims though

I have a Zoom box, noisy

I have a POD 2, digital

I have an X-v-amp, restrictive

I have a V-amp pro, best JCM800 sim on anything Ive heard

I have five guitars and another on its way

and Im shit at playing them all so I record electronic music :laughings:

theres a wanna be rock god in there somewhere :D

Thanks guys for your suggestions. I looked into guitar rig. I like it and the price is amazing.

I would, but I have absolutely no clue who would have it. I only know one person (in real life) who has a reasonable studio. Never hurts to ask. :D

With guitar Rig, you just plug the guitar in thru the input, and from the output to the interface, right? Thanks

maybe this lexicon will help...

evaluate = hack
conventional = p2p aka bittorrent
producers = guy in basement

Thanks. LOL that makes me feel a bit dumb. Im new to all of this and i appear to me a guy in a basement. How would I "evaluate" this. LOL thanks. Hypthetically of course. Probably wont do it anyways. Guitar rig looks good.
