Hi everyone, if anyone could shed light on a problem I have which seems to be confined to my house.

When playing a single coil guitar into a nice amp, I get horrible buzzing, far too much to even call it the normal single coil hum.
Its not just the one amp (i have two)or the one guitar(I have three) or lead, nothing seems to stop it. I have to, quite literarily, stand at an exact angle and not deviate by more than 10degrees in any direction for it to 'clean up'.

Now, I have played the same setups in studios, in other houses and live at venues with no issues.
This suggests to me a problem with my electrical supply or items in my house that could be causing interference.
Yesterday I plugged the amp into a different room (but probs the same circuit) from the computer and mic'd with a long lead, with the guitar in another room with the same problem. It's very frustrating for practice and recording purposes. The guitar/amp is clean as a whistle elsewhere.

Does anyone have any troubleshooting hints for me?

My 'studio' area has a computer, mixer, and powered monitors all plugged into the same circuit.
I must add, this is not normal hiss, it's a horrible unrecordable buzz!

Sorry, for such newbie Q! I probs haven't done enough experimenting yet, but if there is a likely direct answer out there for me, I'd appreciate it.

Just looked at other 'buzz' threads here - I have been trying to play the guitar within 3m of an iMac. I will try moving the guitar away!!!

Sorry for being a dumbass!
