Amp for near-field monitoring?

I'm probably going to have to get me a pair of monitors (using a home stereo for that now). I'm thinking Events 20/20 for starters. So, what's an adequate power amp for those? How about Samson Servo amps and what's the optimum wattage for the Events?

Even the TA1600 is awesome with the Events.
