Amek M-2500 console pres

How would you rate Amek M-2500 console preamps? Is it a good deal at $500 for two M-2500 rackmounted console preamp modules? Pres would be used mostly for recording ethnic and latin percussion such as tabla, surdo etc.

That sounds like a fair price. The M2500 has some of the better preamps that Amek made as far as I am concerned. Fairly clean, plenty of headroom with a stable power supply
