I love singing:) and I record my songs.
But my voice never sounds good when I hear the recorded track!!

I know it can be made to sound better using effects like delay, compressor, equalisation and stuff. But i dont understand it.

Is there anyone here who can help me??
I can send you my recorded file and you can try and make it sound better.
Help!

go for it :) upload your seperate tracks somewhere and i'll take a look later :)

cool! thank-you
i was hoping i could email them
i'll see where i can upload them though

i don't want to come across as nasty...just so you know, i'm trying to be helpful :) but....

i'd spent time working on vocal timing and trying to figure out what the clicks throughout the track are.
it sounds like maybe you've recorded bits of vocals separately rather than all at once, and each individual waves is clicking at the start and end?
if this is the case, try fading the volume in on each waveform before the vocals start.the tiniest wee fade will do.

if that's not it, then i'm not sure.lol :(

before you get in too deep with different effects, read a little about or play with an equaliser on your voice. you'll hopefully find that if you cut out a lot of bass (muddy sounds) and maybe boost a little of the higher frequencies, you'll get a lot more clarity.

also, maybe you are recording with the gain a bit too high? there are littlel bits of distortion here and there that wont help.

hope that's useful.

oh and i recorded the entire thing in one go except for one part.....
