Am I taking my obsession with "This is Spinal Tap" too far?

It seems like I'm the only one of my generation (I'm 16) who has seen the movie. I just ordered/installed special knobs on my Fender HotRod Deluxe that go to 11 in honor of that movie (they have not made the amp noticeably louder.)

I'm completely floored by the amount of people I sort if know that have seen Spinal Tap.

None of them have knobs that go to 11 though!

I have a Fender Frontman and the knobs don't go to 11, but I do find it odd they have no zero either.

Hey Bro!

There's no such thing as taking Spinal Tap too far! I have the honor of being able to say I saw them perform live and it was hilarious. I'll never forget the encore which was Big Bottom. Les Claypool and Larry LaLonde from Primus came out and both played bass while strippers from the strip club next door came in and made out and played with each other and the band. Classic stuff, Bro!

Just make sure the next time you're showing someone your guitar, tell them "this one sustains so long that you can play a note, go get a sandwich, come back, and it'll still be playing."

Cheers Bro!

The scene where he was showing his guitars while smoking and chewing gum made me want to smoke and chew gum and tell people about my guitars.
Then I realized smoking is only cool in movies.

Iw ould say that Spinal Tap must be embraced at every opportunity.

I refuse to play in a band with any member who cannot quote from Christopher Guest's entire filmography of mockumentaries, plus of course Princess Bride.

Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

Anybody want a peanut?

There’s a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. It would be a pity to damage yours.

One time I think it was here I told somebody their recording would be better in Dobly and I got a pedantic lecture on Dolby NR schemes in response by some other clueless member

Good job with the knobs. :)

You might be needing one of these too. They don't just go to eleven, they are Eleven. I have a sneaking feeling that the name is a tribute. Whatever the case they're pretty cool.

"Who are you?"

"No one of consequence"

"Please...I must know!"

"Get used to disappointment"
