Alvarez Yarii DY55

I'll second that...

I got lucky with mine- many cheaper ones are Alvarez- not Yairi's. They were always likened to "Japanese Martin's", but I think that have a little less volume and alot more 'butter' :)
 
My DY-69 is may favorite guitar, and I have a Martin D28 and a Taylor 615.

I think Alvarez Yairi has made so many models that it's difficult to find a whole bunch of any one. I've had two other Yairis and they were nice but not in the same league. Goes to show that, when something is made by hand from wood, you can't always tell how it's gonna turn out.
 
I know it's old but...

I read in Guitar Player that 25 years is the standard "vintage" age.

And that Yairi is worth way more than $150.
