Hey guys, this is my bands newest song.

Snare Top - Audix I5
Snare Bottom - sm57
toms - Audix D2/D4
Kick - Audix D6 inside/Shure SM7b outside
Overheads - Shure SM81s

Bass - DI

Guitars - 2x SM57's and 1 SM7b on different speakers -> Egnator Vengeance Head

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, but of course, if you guys hear anything and have any thoughts, let me know! Thanks guys!

That sounds really really good. Fat guitars and Fat drums! If I were to be picky I would say the Vocals in the verses seem a little muted or thin compared to the fullness of the rest of the mix, and bring up the backing vocals a hair. Maybe add another vocal track with some delay or pan it a bit wider. But really this is mostly spot on in my book.

Sounds good!

Some comments (nitpicks):
- I'd increase the level of the kick during the verses slightly for more punch. Or otherwise, increase overall compression on it so that it comes out a bit more during the quiet verses. The chorus kick level sounds good.

- I'd add more "air" to the vocals, and bring it up a notch in the mix.

- I'd have compressed the bass a bit differently. Maybe a longer attack? Or lower ratio and threshold? In the parts of the song where only the drums & bass are playing, the bass felt like it was lacking a little punch.

Overall, I think this is a very good performance. I love the way you mixed in the guitars.

Interesting. I didn't even notice what you were talking about with the bass until you pointed it out. Maybe it's because I like my bass nice and fluffy and filling out the low end, but I will give it some tweaks and post back here again with great success!

This is a really solid sounding song and mix IMO. Everything fits really well. No gaps sonically or spatially. If I were to hear this quick I would definitely believe it was at least semi-pro or lower budget pro recording.

Wow good sound, man! Especially the drums. Really shiny and polished. This kinda reminds me of Canadian rock.
