On the VS-1880, what are all of the changes from the 1680.
Also, what units are bundled in with the 1680. (ie. compression, mic preamps, gates etc...) just so I know if I buy one, that I don't need to buy those things. Also comment on if the pre's and stuff are halfway decent.

I know it's a lot to answer, thanks for any input.

Virtually no changes. A coiuple more tracks and V tracks is all. The effects cards are still optional so that leaves a lot of open room for the second half of your question. Units bundled? explain please

The VS-1880 also has 24bit A/D D/A conversion instead of 20bit which helps when using the 24-bit MT Pro recording mode. Also with the 1680, 2 tracks were dedicated mastering tracks. Now all 18 tracks are available to you. Hope this helps.
