almost ready PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

I've got a good computer with burner, cool edit pro, 16 channel mixer, and good mics <cables also>
what other connections do i need? how should i run my little setup?

That's a little like asking how long a piece of string is............ it all depends -- what is it you're trying to record, specifically?
 
What sound card have you got? The easiest way is to connect the main outs from your mixer to the inputs on your card (if you're using a cheap card such as onboard AC97, Soundblaster etc you should use the Line In not the Mic In). If you want a good soundcard you should look at the M-Audio cards ... so cheap there's no excuse not to have one now.

A standard stereo connection will give you two channels of input - if you're recording two separate mono sources at once pan one hard left and the other hard right. Set your software up to record from either the left or the right channel and you keep them apart.

As for connections ... just buy whichever little 50p adaptors you need - if there's a gold-plated option for a few pence more then take it.
