Is it just me, or do the Alesis keyboards seem to devlope a hum after time? I've owned two different Alesis keyboards, the Quadrasynth, and most recently, the Alesis QS7.1, both of which developed a buzz. Sounds like a ground loop to me, but I've tried different cords, cables, outputs--everything--when the power's on, it's buzzing, irrespective of the volume level. Anyone had any experience with this? If you did, what was the result? Ditch the board? Repair shop? Was it something you repaired yourself?
Maybe you need a new transformer. I've had my QS6 for I guess about 8 years and haven't had a problem with a buzz. Try using a direct box with a ground lift and see if it still does it.
