So I have this Alesis USB mixer... I am recording into Sonar 4 Producer Edition. I am recording drums with three mics around the drums, two to pick up everything and one mic on the snare. The overall sound is great but I keep getting static/clipping or some kind of noise during playback, it's not too harsh but if this can be eliminated then that would be great.
What can this be from? The volume is not going over -18Db, and I don't know if it is possibly my mics. I have done some really basic drum recordings (recording straight into the computer mic jack!) and I would not get any noise.
Maybe it is a driver, soundcard, something? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
