alesis multimix 16 line

whats your guy's reviews. Im fed up with my tascam fw1082 and selling it and want another firewire multi channel mixer...


how's the pre's in the 16 line? I can't imagine that good but are they as good as the tascams? I record metal primarily, i want it to have that full sound :- which i know is like impossible to get in a stock mixer (or even for $500 in an actuall pre)

But the firewire version is disappearing from retail, and unlike the Tascam, you have no control over your sequencer from the board. If you just need something to get the audio into the machine and monitor it, though, I think you'll be happy. What's your issue with the Tascam? If it's not a reliability issue, would you be interested in an even swap?

i get ti back from the shop tomorrow and they told me it works fine but i'm nto capable of getting it to work even after on the phone a dozen times for several hours a peice with tascam, so if i can't get it to work tomorrow i probably would be willing to do an even trade. The tascam has never been sued, i ahve al manuels, the original box, wrappers everything.
 
what kind of problems are you having? why did you take it to the shop?
 
Firewire Alesis

I have an Alesis 12 firewire that's GREAT....no problems...Just be sure to download the latest drivers from Alesis
