Well, I know one thing for sure, this combo is a little touchy 
-
the adat is feeding my mackie 16x8. the adat feeds (optically) to the Fostex. I have been recording onto the vf160 but it seems to have developed a skip. like a cd skip or hesitation. i have reformatted the hard drive already
IS MY HARD DRIVE BAD ? it said there was 364 bad sectors but never said what to do with them !!

Also, can i sync up the record 'botton' on both the Alesis and Fostex ? i mean, when i press 'record+play' on the Fostex... can the Alesis start recording at the same time simultaneously ?

The Alesis is slaved to the Fostex. I also need to get a computer hooked up here as well to run it all.
.......ANY SUGGESTIONS ?? Adobe Audition 2.0, fiber optic from out of Alesis TO pc sound card ???
