Were they just stuttering or is this a complete misprint?

Those "Phono Plug Stereo Tape Inputs" require plugs like on headphones? Or do they have dual phono jacks for each stereo input?
 
They have dual phono jacks as the inputs for channels 9/10 and 11/12. I use one channel to monitor and the other to play my CD player through.
