Looks like NI spent a little to much time on the graphics IMO. I have both this and the grand 2 and the grand 2 blows it out of the water and it is about half the price.

Anyway just thought id see if anyone else found the same thing? Im very dissapointed with the quality of the samples thats all.

Cheers
Dave

You didn't check out the samples on the site before buying it?

I didnt buy it. Im just using it for 30 days. Even if I heard the samples I need to play them to really be able to hear and compare to a real piano or other piano simulators.

True, hearing samples on a Website doesn't compare to actually being able to play them for yourself. I guess that's a quirk of us crazy piano players. :D

:D

Anyway I guess no one really has used Akoustik piano. If your interested in a vst instrument piano then you might wanna to look into The Grand 2 ive tried almsot all of them and its the one I am most happy with. Even others that people like I dont seem to find that great. The ones on stage pianos feel like they sound better then vst but maybe it just seems that way.

Anybody care to comment.

where did you get a 30 day demo version of AP?

IVORY is the one... i've tried it a time or 2 and was well satisfied... also heard a song posted awhile back on GS cant remember by who but a biggy... and it was incredible... also it's the hands down fav over on keyboard mag site...

Hmm, a 30 day demo would be cool...but I don't believe one exists.

yeah, where are you getting these demos? I've been looking for a good piano and was pretty impressed with the samples from NI on Akoustik. And not so impressed by The Grand 2's.

I'd love to try both out but can't seem to find the demo you're talking about.

I'm using Akoustik and I think it's the greatest out there for piano. Beautiful samples... I used to take samples off a Fantom X and S90ES and to me Akoustik blows these two away. Don't get me wrong, both those boards have great pianos but man I love Akoustik. I run it off my laptop (C2D @ 2 Ghz, 2GB RAM) and can run it with extremely low latency, high polyphony and zero glitching. And the graphics are sweet :)
