Akg D550

Is the AKG D550 kick/bass mic any good.
GC has it on sale for $50.
Want to add more mics to my collection.
I have $100 th spend on my next trip to CG.
Should I get 2 of them or get a Sennheiser E609 ?

Good question. i was thinking of picking one up.

Here's the page for it, but I don't see what makes it so special. I don't think the US$244 MSRP is to be taken seriously.

I can find nothing useful about it anywhere. Mysterious...

Man, I've asked on five other fora about this microphone and have found nothing at all.

Remarkably obscure microphone, I'd say!
