Why is it written "C414 B-ULS" on the backside (black side) of the AKG C414 B-TLII microphone? Are all C414 B-TL II like this or just the one I tried?

They are all like that. Why? Well, there's an explanation of AKG's microphone designations (what the letters mean) somewhere in the PDF catalog you can download from their website - it mostly has to do with features like pads, bass, roll off, etc. The "standard" version says then same thing on the back (probably because they have the same features, the differences being the capule, and transformer vs. transformerless). Just check the front & make sure it says TL II. The front of the "standard" C414 says ULS. Oh, and one's got a silver grill, and the other (TL II) a gold one.
