Afghanistan

Are you telling me there are no Afghans in the country to feed the dogs they wanted for their army? Wouldn't those be the Afghans' dogs technically?

Look, in Afghanistan they won't feed their dogs! We left.

They feed their families first, if they can, dude. The place has serious hunger issues. You're voice sounds strangely familiar.

spin the story in the favors of the country you are from.

Looks like you're the guy. You have no family to feed. How many socks do you wear?

Nah, Im commenting on the ridiculous stories that were printed by the media, after we took no questions during operations.

They just filled in the blanks..and got it all wrong. Now the news will need to make a sacrifice to restore its credibility. How unprofessional.

You don't have American service dogs. You have Afghan service dogs, bred in Afghanistan. They were 'your' army to defend yourselves.

They are making themselves look disgusting.

Shit more US people died from Hurricane Ida that week of operations than the US in Afghanistan .. It was a GREAT EGRESS.

No dude. They're american military contract dogs that were abandoned over there. You're out of touch. These are american soldiers, not afghan soldiers. The dogs are loyal to one person.

You Afghans killed your own dogs. Tell yourself whatever you want to feel better. The responsibilities were theirs.

You don't even try over there for anything do you? USUALLY?

What's this? There are no afghans here today. You're delusional.

and Don't tell me about responsibilities. Tell an American animal-rights activist. Your hero, Joe Biden just alienated them.

The president isn't as bad as a hurricane. Now that's some logic.

Can't we care a little bit about BOTH tragedies? I get the feeling that you don't really care about either.

A little history lesson: In "American culture" it is often said that dogs can sense in people bad character. Most Presidents of the United States of America have had a dog, it's kind of a tradition. During the 2012 Presidential competition there was a dual narrative duel among the front runner candidates, Barrack Obama vs Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney was heavily criticized in the media for traveling for some hours with his dog in an enclosed crate above the windscreen of his estate car. Partisan operatives along with the media were quick to release photos of the apparent loving relationship between Barrack Obama, the Obama family, and their dog, Bo. A photo of Obama along with his dog Bo inside a car captioned, "This is how loving owners transport their dogs." However, to provide clarity and further illuminate the seeming juxtaposition with regard to the canine kerfuffle, it came to light that during Obama's early years being raised in a Muslim culture, he dined on dog. Yes, Obama had actually written about eating dog in his book, "Dreams of my father: The story of a community organizing rabble rouser and race hustler".....or some such title. "Unfair" came sneers from the gallery, that was a long time ago when Obama was a wee lad, "You're attacking a child!". As is often the case in politics, the cat fight drifting off into the ether, perhaps more relevant issues came to the forefront. Religion---->Obama's Islam known for a penchant for cutting off people's heads(did I also mention eating dogs?), and Romney's Mormonism known for avoiding contact at all costs with women's icky parts outside the umbrella of marital bliss. That and the recognition that Obama is a girly man who in secret is probably Gay, or has been at some point in the past. The past being after conversion from Islam(wink wink), because everybody knows there are no gays in Islam. Fast forward, there was one more recent President who did not have a dog. The media and political opponents such as the mentioned above Hillary Clinton made a big deal out of it, similar to her statement, "Don't vote for anyone you wouldn't trust with your dog." It was all symbolic of the man being untrustworthy, they posited. As a vampire to a crucifix, Superman to kryptonite, it meant something, indicative of sinister connotations.

In America, dogs are a very, very big deal!

I don't give a damn the past of those animals, once you take a dog into your care their future is on you, you are responsible. Those dogs in Afghanistan could have been evacuated and saved rather than left in cages or roaming free in the Kabul airport to suffer a horrible fate at the hands of savage barbarians. From what I understand an organization for the humane treatment of animals had chartered a plane to get those dogs out. Gov't bureaucracy and the Center for Disease Control thwarted the effort. If rabies was a concern, over a year and a half into the covid pandemic could have informed a decision to move forward....quarantine.

Oh well, shamefully abandoning American citizens, American allies, journalists, billions in military equipment and stacks of cash.....why should dogs be any different. It's all indicative of America being a mere shadow of its former self. America First and Make America Great Again is a dream unfulfilled once "the adults are back in charge".

Dog people? Most are crazy.

They should have taken care of their animals. Sad to see them abandon their responsibilities.

What IS sad is that we will never see or understand Bush Jr's vision of Afghanistan. If there was one..

Crenshaw got the big machines..Whose gonna build the road ways in Afghanistan now? One harsh winter and it is rubble.

They showed shots of the infrastructure in 2000 and now. Wow thats alot of roads we built...Better start seal coating that shit now..

Bush is not President, he is no longer the decider, hasn't been office over 14 years. 14 years being less than half the time we have been in Afghanistan. At this point in time, is it more relevant how we got in than how we get out? Focus, man. There's fuck all you can do about the past.
