affordable studio monitors.

with many users out there working on small home recording studios. we're talking sub $1000 they cant afford $600 for a pair of Event 20/20 active montitors. Anybody out there use some of those low power, budget monitors? we're talking sub $200. I thought it would be useful to have a thread for people to find in the search for budget monitors. I know there is the sampson monitor system for like $170 or so. and then yamaha has some little ones. they dont sound bad, none of them do. just creating a list.
 
Not sub-$200, but there's been a lot of good things said on this site about the Event PS Series (PS5 and PS6 - if you look at the PS8's, I would get the 20/20's).

I saw the PS6's on Zzounds for $459.00 which seems to be a real good price.

I guess it all depends on the level of quality you are lokking for and the budget you have to work with.
 
im not looking for them. hehehe. i was just wondering what peopel use out there. ive never researched them because i never used them, but i know there are some people who do so it would be cool for them to hear what others think.
