Hey guys!

Long story short, me and a friend did a rock cover of Yiruma - River Flows In You, and it really (unexpectedly) got popular on YouTube. It was 5 years ago, so the recording/playing/production was crap. A huge channel recently approached us, offering us to use it as their intro song and crediting us if we could record a better version. We did and we're proud of the result, but I really want it to be perfect!

It was hard to mix, as there are 2 leads instruments throughout the song (E. guitar and piano) and there's a lot going on.

What would you change to make it THE perfect mix? Thanks a lot for your time :)

That's weird, it worked when I posted it! Anyways, fixed the link!

nice! i would put drums more on front. in my opinion cymbals are a bit harsh :) its just a matter of taste!

Listening on headphones for reference.

Performances were good. Guitar kills the piano. The guitar needs to come down if you want to hear the piano. The piano seems to have no dynamics. Not sure what is being used here, VSTi or a E-piano from a keyboard, but if you have compression on it, you might want to think about reducing the compression.

That is about all I have to offer.
