One-Man-Band
Here is a video I did of a cover song I recorded: http://stage6.divx.com/user/vagodeoz/video/1702858/Manuel-Soruco---Ending-Credits-(Opeth-Cover)
I didn't use any "fancy" equipment, for the drums, I used a SM58 inside the kick (I tried first a Behringer B2pro with catastrophic results), a SM57 on the snare, and for the overheads I have a RODE NT5 pair, but I just had bought these Behringer C2 which are supposed to be great, so I tried them and I think they sound pretty damm good for the price. And a Behringer B2Pro in Omni for the room.
The mics to my Behringer Xenyx 2442FX Mixer and then into my PC through a M-Audio Delta 1010Lt.
Bass and electric guitar were recorded directly to my Creative Sound Blaster X-FI Platinum, and then I used Ampeg and Amplitube (or guitar rig, don't remember).
And finally the acoustic guitar, I used the same Behringer B2Pro for the hole, and the Rode NT5 for a stereo capture in about the 12th fret.
I recently bouth a Tascam 414mk2, so the next song will be recorded in there and then transfered to the pc in separate tracks for mixing.
So, any advices?
Here is my list of gear available:
1 x Sm58 (I could borrow one more if needed)
1 x Sm57
2 x Behringer B2pro
2 x Behringer C2 (matched pair)
2 x Rode Nt5 (matched pair)
1 x Nady RSM-2
3 x Behringer XM8500 (I'm buying these soon for the toms)
Behringer Xenyx 2442 Fx Mixer
Art Tube MP Pre-Amp (in drums, should I use it from kick, snare or room? (it has a biult-in limiter))
