Advices about Audio Interface.

I would HIGHLY recommend the Edirol UA-700. Not only does it have onboard effects like mic modelling (which sound great) in the microphone section, It has effects in the instrument input section as well as cabinet and amp head modelling. It also has optical and line outs as well. The mic pre-amps are very good, and I don't think you will be disappointed with this unit. It is also VERY portable.

It will cost you around $200-300 Cdn (about 75-90UK#?) It is USB 2.0 and has excellent latency. (I have 4ms round trip - in then back out)

It allows me to monitor what I'm playing and mix in what the performer needs as it is a 2X2 full duplex interface (except at 24/96 which is half)

It also supports asio2.0 for controllers etc.
