Hi All
Our outhouse is in a terrible state! I'm gutting it over the next couple of months, having some building work done and putting it back together as a recording space. Any advice on the building work itself and/or the sound-proofing aspects would be much appreciated. I'm hoping to get some advice here and document the conversion as it progresses.
Initially I'm thinking of treating the room itself pretty lightly and installing a booth for the noise making. Thinking this on the basis that I can take the booth with me if/when we move, and not have a lot of money into a room I can't take with me.
Pic of the building below, lots more pics HERE. Really, really shabby inside....work is a complete gut and re-build (including one wall down and replaced).

Or something to that effect. A booth doesn't help you when monitoring at high SPL.

After writing a long winded reply, even though I knew better, I decided to check out the photos first...just so I knew what you were working with. No sooner than I clicked on a photo...WHAM!! It caused Iexplorer to crash this time. I don't understand what Photobucket does...but last time I picked up a virus that was so bad I had to completely REFORMAT my harddrive
