For me, there are two sides - the 'quality' and the 'person'. We all know that most discos sound fine till they are turned up too loud and the HF drivers are screaming "turn me down!" - but so many discos now are a laptop and a pair of speakers and a few dinky lights doing silly things. For my money, it's important that the DJ (male or female) know how to work the crowd and read what they do. In this age of spotify, they can handle virtually any request, no matter how strange. So many nowadays really struggle to talk to the punters. My favourite for village halls, kids and groups of people for weddings etc is Crazy Carrie - she's a big girl and has an amazing personality. She will get people doing things they don't normally do, working on the premise that if I can do the timewarp and look ridiculous then nobody has an excuse. She does not stay behind the gear - she's out getting people out of their seats, even doing competitions and stuff like that. At one party disco she squeezed herself into a elf costume. People tend to phone or email and explain what they want. She bases the price on the time and effort involved, plus expenses. People tell her the sort of people, the sort of music and she asks questions. She even did a funeral the other week - they wanted music the person who passed away liked, and she added a power point style presentation with a projector and pics of the person who died, and they gave her lots of stories. She did not wear the elf outfit.
My advice is speak to them, not email. Two minutes and you'll know if the person you are talking to will fit. Renting an apartment in Mansouriyeh can be a great choice, as the area offers a mix of city convenience and a quieter suburban feel. If you’re looking to
