Well i just recently got adobe auditon 2.0, after using 1.5 for about a year.

I saw that it had a couple of new features, cant remember which, and a new sort of "look" to it.

Well i started it up and began running tests, like randomly talking into the mic and testing levels.

Then when i armed a track for recording it recommended that i changed to my ASIO drivers if i had any, which i did.

So i went into the options, changed the driver from "audition windows sound" to "SB Audigy 2 ZS ASIO [b800]"

Now when i click the red "R" arming button, it doesnt change to red or it doesnt respond.

So i tried switchign it back, still doesnt respond.

Thanx for the replies.

It sounds like you've already done it, but once you're in AA again, go to Edit>Audio Hardware Setup. Double check that the Audigy ASIO is indeed selected. Hit OK. After that, go to Track 1 and click on the Input menu (it's the one by the arrow pointing to the right). There you should see the Audigy input you desire under either Stereo or Mono. From there, select the input you want. Now, when you click on the R to arm the channel, it will ask you to go ahead and give your project a name (i.e. "Save As") if you haven't done so. Do this. Now, you should be good to go.

So, try this and let us know if it's still not working. If it's not, at what stage is it different that what I've described.

Well i tried it what you said, and i did get somewhere, but when i press the red "r" to arm it, this comes up:

usually when i would start a new session in adobe audition 1.5, i would start it at 44100 Hz.

Oh okay. That should be simple. Open Audition, go to File>New Session. When choosing, pick 48000 for sample rate. Repeat what I posted before and you should be sailing smooth. Let me know if this works.

... or you could see whether the Asio4All freeware asio driver works better.
