Let me just say that i've tried adjusting the buffers/size, even reinstalling the software, running compatibitlity mode and nothing works. I even set it up with two temp folders on two drives. I successfully recorded five tracks, but on the sixth one the track turned out choppy (if you zoom in you can actually see the chops). Why is it doing this at random? if i tinker with the buffer settings, i might luck out and get one track recorded good, and then BLAMMO! CHoppyness. So annoying. I have the full version, not a demo. My pc is :3.0ghz phenom quadcore, 4 gig ram, SATA hd, usb external hd. Soundblaster audigy platinum pro zs soundcard (with the latest drivers). This is a new pc. i had audition on my old pc and didn't have this problem. Please help.

choppy tracks..

a friend told me that if you use cool edit pro.. try not to use too many of the tracks for your segment..and/or session...
This seems to happen quite a bit.. in the interim.. I use what I've got before this problem occurs.. save the mix down.. then reload the mixdown into a brand new session..it seems to help ..a pain in the you know what.. but until I can understand why this happens specifically, that's what I do to fix the problem.

I sometimes get down to track No. 7 then it gets choppy and sounds like it's skipping.. I wish there was a solid, concrete answer as to why this happens.. not the answer given shown as.. oh yeah and windows 7.. that's a pointless response.. and annoying, too.. I went in search of this solution and read your post.. then saw the stupid a## answer given.. gee.. could you spare some of your brain cells????

your post was not at all helpful.. and it was perceived as a response from someone who just felt like plugging in whatever sentence they could think of at the time.. completely useless.'

thanks for nothing on that answer.. really! get a clue.

Yeah, what happened there?

My guess is that not using a 'Soundblaster' anything is a good start.

I've seen it before ..... must of been a heated argument and half of the thread gets deleted.

Wait ..... Enterpriselady looks to be an alias of the person who may of gotten banned in this scuffle!
