Adele - "Set Fire To The Rain" [Tech House Mix] Any suggestions???

I'm pretty new to mixing/mastering, I know there are some gurus on this site, any advice? Produced the beat on fruity loops so kinda limited... Was going for deep tech house feel on this...
 
The stuff that starts at 1.55 is a strength. The rest of it is fine, but doesn't do much or go anywhere - it could be way shorter.

As a mix, the issue is the disjunction between the vocal and the stuff you've done. It might be cool to try to get the two to blend better.
 
Thanks, its supposed to be a club mix, dance music, so just gets a groove and keeps it. How do you think I can fix those vocals? I hear what your talking about but not sure hwo to fix it.
