Adding info to my songs

Well the problem is as decribed in the title. I just finished a song in Cubase and converted it to a .wav file. I edited the title of the song and i tried to figure out how to add info on artist, genre, copyright etc. but i didnt find anything. I am a complete beginner at making music, and this is my first song, its very precious to me! And can this be done permanently? Or will it be able to be edited by others later on? (that seems very paranoid i know...)
 
Sounds like you're wanting to add the ID3 information normally associated with MP3 files. I don't think you can add this to wav files (but give it a right click and choose properties in windows explorer to see if it will associate such info).
 
I will just convert to mp3 then. Wav files dont have tags apparently.
 
It's in the software (some software!) Roxio Creator audio editor has tags no matter what format you save the tune in
 
the simplest way I know, is to convert it to mp3, put it on itunes and 'right click', 'get info' and you can add stuff there. I think thats what you want, correct me if Im wrong
