These are ADC (I think) 144 TRS jack, TT patch bays for sale. I have four, three of which have the normalling removed, one still has it installed via wire wrap.

One of the patch bay has some solder on the wire wrap leads, because I had started to replace all the wire wrap with soldered TRS snakes, but I ended up tearing down the studio a year ago to remodel, add insulation, repair the leaking roof, and upgrade the electrical.

If you're looking for a high density patch bay, these are the ones to get.

If you buy all four, the price is $250 plus shipping.
If you want less than four, they are $75 each plus shipping.

I'll provide the packing materials at no charge of course, including bubblewrap.

I accept paypal, money orders of any kind, bidpay if you want to use western union, and personal checks. The latter will require a 10-day clearing just because we all know the risk with personal checks.

Please inquire directly to frederic (at) midimonkey (dot) dyndns (dot) org. I travel a lot for work so reading this forum on a regular basis is tough sometimes. Thank you for looking!

Frederic

What are wire wrap leads? Also why are there three rows? Are these normalled? You just solder the snakes to the back terminals?

Thanks,
Jeremy

You'd use wire wrapping with solid core 22 AWG type wire if you were using these in a communication setting or if you were using them in conjunction with a punch down block in a larger installation. With stranded wire you'd have to solder the snake to it. These types of PBs are usually normalled but can be un-normalled or half normalled easily. The top most row is usually used as an tracer. I've only used these with T-1 lines and not for audio.

Thanks track! Your studio work has inspired me to get some patchbays going. I think I might end up going 1/4" though. Not sure.

Jeremy

I live in a 1/4" world.:D The TTLs are VERY cool but expensive to switch over to (the patch cables themselves are a bit pricey for my tastes. If you have space limitations however, it's the way to go).
