Alesis QS8.1 adat optical into Wamirack SPDIF optical?

I tried going into my adat from my QS8 via optic cable, forget it.
dont waste your time.

I repeat - the Audio-M SAM.... converts Lightpipe to 2 channel S/PDIF........ I have it, it works very well.......

You cannot get out of your QS-8 into your ADAT using Optical? What happens?
