I'm a drummer that doesn't know too much about ADATs. I found these old tapes so I went out and picked up an ADAT in great shape.
I decided to clean the heads and now when I play a tape the tempo is so slow.
I followed the cleaning instructions to the T. What did I do wrong and how can I fix?
Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

ahhhhhhh, f@$$ckin' drummers. LOL I think I figured it out. Had to do with the clock setting on the front of the ADAT. It's all new to me!

Yep, you sorted it out. Since the ADAT machine records digitally, if you put in a tape that was recorded at one clock (or sample rate...ie.. it might have been recorded at 48k) and then change the machines clock rate to something else, the playback will now be either too fast or slow (depending on which way you changed the clock).
