I'm thinking about purchasing a pair of Adam audio a8h monitors for my home studio but was wondering if it would be an overkill for my room size..
Room size: 13ft L...9 1/2ft w...8ft h

My listening space would about 3ft away...
Any help would be appreciated

I have some Adam monitors. I couldn’t quite justify two grand on a pair, for what I’m using them for. I bought mine because the 77 twins my friend put in the studio I built for him had a good experience. I still have a pair of very elderly 8” celestions in my other studio. The Adams sounded very different. They ended up in my video studio where they are doing a great job. Bass is better defined, HF clean. The old ones are perhaps tired, but I like their sound. If I had to find one word to label the Adams, it would be ‘modern’. If you have two grand, then give them a blast and if you like the sound, keep them.

Well, yes. However, they need good studio acoustics. As nearfields the room is perhaps not quite so important, hence why they sell a left and a right, so they mirror image properly.
