are there any plugins out there that simulate the sound of an acoustic guitar??? so i would just plug in my electric like usual but then run the plugin and get the acoustic sound with it??

There's a stompbox that supposedly emulates an acoustic, but I heard it doesn't work well.

I don't think you'll find anything that can make an electric sound like an acoustic.

I tend to agree.

There are modelling amps and stomp boxes etc that can do a job. Maybe some VSTs, but not sure on that. You can also mike the guitar at the ame time and mix that in to get some plectrum/picking noise and some ringing. But the bottom line is that I doubt that it would be a really convincing acoustic sound. Maybe good enough though, depending on what you want (just a flavour, or a convincing sound).

yeah, i was just trying to get a fatter sound but with two different types of guitar sound. Maybe like some distortion on one track, copy the wav to another track but add a different guiat effect like acoustic or maybe a cleaner sound

imma try that plugin............i actually downloaded it earlier today but havent tried it. I will do that. Thanks

If you have an elect guit setup with a MIDI controller, you can play MIDI notes and have them played back (via a sampler or sondfonts) with your choice of acou guit samples--could get a little expensive, though.

Or you could just play a real acou guit.
