Okay. I have a normal soundcard line input that I sum everything I have down to in order to get into Acid 2.0 (I prefer this one). Seeing as how it's a stereo TRS input, every input that goes into Acid acts like a stereo channel going in. Real basic question......is it possible to set up the inputs to accept two simultaneous mono (left and right independently) signals, and come up on the display likewise as two seperate mono signals? I can only assume that you can, I just haven't found it yet....much thanks in advance.

mmmmm...

Probably not since Acid can't record multiple tracks at the same time. You'd have to split em in an editor.

Maybe someone can be more precise...

okay....

okay, how about recording mono channels one at a time into acid?
as opposed to stereo channels one at a time

Yes- you can record one mono channel at a time in acid by selecting the recording device as a mono input in the "recording device:" dropdown list at the bottom of the "Record" Dialog Box.

From your source, you can PAN one sound fully left and the other sound fully right. Once you get them into Acid, you can got OPTIONS>Edit in Sound Editor (I use Sound Forge).
Then in SF. Highlight the top portion of the WAV. file, then>Ctrl-C>Ctrl-N>Enter>Ctrl-V. You can then proceed to repeat that sequence with the lower half of the WAV. file (highlight>copy>new file>paste).
