Acid Pro 3.0

I may be able to borrow & install Acid Pro 3.0 on my computer. However, I am not able to keep the original software used to install it, is there way to create a back-up off of what I install. In case something goes wrong down the road with my computer so that I would be able to re-install it?
 
CRISB also posted a similar message on the Cakewalk Forum regarding Sonar XL that he could "borrow" but would have to return the software. Double TSK TSK TSK.

A little nicer message than the usual "I lost my serial number for [insert software package], could anyone give me one so I can reinstall my software?"

AND ANOTHER THING....

If you are looking for serial #'s, why would you search this BBS???

There are better ways to get serial #'s (albeit harder ways, but none the less better..., and NO, I'm not going to tell you how to search for them).

I do not advocate the use of stolen merchandise.

I have posted several questions on this board such as "Is Card deluxe a good soundcard to buy?" or "How can I use my Korg D8 with my computer?" with few if any responses. It's pretty funny that my inquiring about backing up software has gotten the most responses yet. I must assume those of you who have responded never made tape copies of a record or tape or burned a CD from an original cd or taped a movie from a movie. Please don't tell me it's different because all you have to do is multiply the times you did it & find that the $300 you are throwing stones @ me for is nothing.

But I must be honest here. I did lie (to simplify my questions) & now realize I should have told the truth to begin with so here is the truth; I am looking into purchasing a computer system that has all these & more software programs installed already & worried that If something happened to the programs, was there anything I could do? (since the original software is not included). The system is selling for around a grand & I just wanted to make sure.

If I do not buy the system I will be purchasing several programs. I am just really not sure what programs because I am a beginer & none of you have ever communicated with me until now regarding any of my questions. Your time is obviously spent on copy patrol & sarcastic remarks.

P.S. I have no idea what you are talking about with the serial #'s since I never inquired about them. Have fun!

If you use drive imaging software, like Norton Ghost or Drive Image Pro, you could make a backup of the entire drive, (including installed software). Then, down the road, if you really screw things up, you could still have what was installed on the drive at the time you made the image.

I won't go into the fact that you wouldn't actually have legal licenses to any of the software on the drive that you are buying, including the Operating System, cuz you probably already know that. You'll also have problems when it comes time to upgrade any of the software...

pirated software is a topic we choose to ignore in the forums here. we all know that is used by a good amount of people here but we choose to talk in riddles instead of being discrete. an example that comes to my mind is those individuals who give a list of thier software as compared to what outboard gear they possess. this ratio usually presents a drastic difference in terms of items owned.
for instance we usually read, " i have a mic, speakers, and a sblive soundcard and many different audio plugins and apps..." i always find it amazing how we spend all of our hard earned money on the latest , most expensive software and yet neglect to get the essential, semi-professional outboard gear. i love to read how people claim they are on a tight budget yet have waves plugins and steinberg apps...
im just rambling on but you get the idea:) pirated software is an idea left in the shadows here.

Because you were whining about no-one answering your other questions, I've hunted down a few and responded. In the future, you should try to post a question in one (and only one) of the forums. That way you only have to look in one place for answers, plus you won't piss off the bandwidth police. (Some members won't respond to cross-posted messages just on principle...)

Another thing, turn on the notification feature!!!! I found at least two replies to your threads where people asked you follow-up questions, and one where someone offered to chat with you online about your question.

NOW QUIT the DAMN WHINING! And cut out that cross-posting!

Then go read & respond!
