I didn't know where to put this.

Anyway, is this any good? A friend got this for me because it was on sale for really cheap ($15-20) and he knew I was a little interested in recording and mixing as a hobby. I used to have a mac and would just mess around on Garageband mixing loops and stuff into cool songs.

That's called 'crossposting' and it's bad. Pick the most appropriate category and post once.

What exactly do you intend to do? If you are doing loop based stuff, this is a good program. However it is not a multitrack recorder and before version 6.0 it didn't support vst and the few effects it came with sucked. the midi editor is simple and the built in instruments are basic. its a little hard to edit the midi parameters like velocity and such. Anyhow, if you just want to arrange loops then i'd use it, for actual audio recording i'd skip it.

the only recording would be recording vocals over the loops.
