About Steinberg Nuendo 2.0

You came into some money, so you searched the world for the last copy of an outdated version of Nuendo? N3 has been out for at least 2 years...maybe 3.
yeah, but N2 can be had for pretty cheap these days (especially if you do/did the buy 1.6 and upgrade to 2.0 thing), and personally i like N2 better than N3. the workflow just seems to make more sense to me.....and it seems like they packed N3 full of a bunch of stuff that's really unnecessary to music production. admittedly, my time with N3 has been VERY minimal. of course, one would contend that that's entirely the point of N3, that it's far more geared to post production than N1 or N2 were (which were rather geared towards that in the first place), and that if you only want to do music production, use Cubase.....

anyway, i'm not defending anyone or anything and suspect the same thing the rest of y'all do.....i'm just pointing out that there *could* be a valid reason for sourcing out N2 instead of N3.

as to why anyone would want/need all 3 waves bundles, though  and "came into money"? did it get all gooey and stick together?

cheers,

N3 added full latency compensation on the group channels, easier audio quantize capabilities and fully latency compensated outputs for using outboard gear as channel plugins. These are some pretty big deals for audio.

absolutely! i'm not trying to discount that at all (and those are BIG deals for audio). :D i'm just sayin that if you wanted to get into Nuendo, going a version (or two) back is a relatively "cheap" way of doing so.

Don't call him a producer!

He's a rapper.

And he would totally need the newest version because he is also a video producer - dammit - video rapper - and as such, doesn't want to use a program us audio fags use, because then he would be gay. For recording music. Which he does, as a rapper.

Just sayin.

wow........... havent been on here in a minute. didnt n know the river of conversations turned into a monsoon LOL but seriously. my name is pronounced (eel-steel) not ill as in sick and and yea I bought those waves from a producer friend that owns a very expensive looking home studio(it looks expensive) and I didnt know they were worth that much( i went to my local guitar center and checked the price) so sorry guys i dont DL or steal programs. im very passionate about all aspects of music so if you got offended by my posts i apologize............... fags!!!!!!!! lolololololol

Did you really feel the need to come back and explain yourself after 3 years?

We all figured that the name was pronounced "I'll steal", figuring that it made sense with the whole pirating software undercurrent.

i dont steal music per say ... my friend used to own and operate a professional studio and made me a copy of nuendo. if thats stealing then i guess it is what it is.

Yes, that is stealing. And it's spelled "per se". When you say that 'you don't steal music per se', you are saying that you do steal music but you feel justified doing it.

Also, if he was able to burn you a copy of it that worked on your computer, he stole his version too. The real version needs a dongle to work, only a crack will work without it.

So, you didn't buy it like you said here....

and I came across some money and bought the best program
...and the Waves bundled?? Fell out of the sky or something??

We do not promote theft of any kind at this site. Nor allow those with "Ill-stolen" wares to come here looking for advice. Even 3 years later....
