About Bass Pickups.

Hi

I'm getting new pickups for my bass
I'd appreciate any opinion/fact that will help me make the decision on which pickup to get
I'm looking for a powerful sound, I use pick and fingerpicking, I don't use other right-hand techniques.
I have an idea of what kind of pickup to get, but I need suggestions with brands (brand comparison).
I'm going for Bartolini most probably.

I'm going to get a J-style pickup(s), not P.

Bartolini or Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio or EMG ?
WHY?

As far as I am concerned, Bartolinnis are the only bass pickups worth using. However, if you are into more "vintage" sounds, then both Seymour Duncan and Dimarzios are great.
