Folks, there you have it. Another great mindprint production (and the NTK of course.) I love the midrange/top on the mindprint. It must be a german thing bec steinberg EQs (wavelab, nuendo, cubase) have a similar quality.

Great tune dobro. Really loved the guitar playing and tone you got on that recording. Is the ntk your primary mic? just curious it sounds pretty nice. Im sitting here wondering what your voice would sound like with some mild verb, and i really like it as is..it fits. Enjoyed it much...David

pilgrim - yeah, I compressed about 3.5:1 going into the computer, and then a slight bit (2:1) in the mix. When I recorded this (some months ago), I also EQ'd going to disk - cutting the lows, and slightly boosting some mids and highs. I don't do that anymore though - I'm tracking flat - I decided to believe Bruce finally. I mean, why EQ the thing twice? 
David - yeah, I use the NTK on everything. Recently, Shailat was talking about using different mics and pres on the same project, and he knows *way* more about this stuff than I do, so at some point, I'm gonna have to wean myself off the Rode for some stuff. And yeah, I'm just getting into reverb - I put a bit on the other tune I put up here in the clinic yesterday, and nobody's said it sounds too dry, so maybe you're right. I just don't have enough experience - time is required.

Beautiful dobro-ther BEAUTIFUL!!! Git was spacious with chords and notes under controlled yet free-flowing. A tad "SSSSSS" control would have sufficed but the natural & honest lyrics you put forth over-rode any and all probs. Vocs clear & open ( I would have luv'd a lil mo' Verb on it, but that's just me) Emotion-fused jammy cleanly recorded & performed.

You and that acoustic have become one, I think that's ilegal.
I listened for hiss, but all I hear is my refridgerator (Amana), will have to go in for a closer listen (listens).
