1st time using this particular machine.
first of all, nowhere in the 218-page users manual is it mentioned how to add an automatic fade in or out to a recorded track. this is a pretty common feature on any digital recorder i've ever used. is it possible that it can't be done on this machine?
the other thing is, when i am viewing the individual track as a wave and attempt to scroll slowly through the song, there is no audio. there is only audio when i select the "listen" option from the wave-view window, at which point it just plays the track at it's normal speed. seems like it kind of defeats the purpose of having a wave-view option in the first place.
i've read so many stellar reviews of this recorder and it's many features. what gives?

Great machine, for what it is. Keep in mind that it's getting up there in years--I've had my G nearly 7 years. I can only help with one of your questions: no, there's no auto-fade. No biggie, though, since you can use the jog wheel to produce flawless fades at any speed. (Use VIEW, to CHANNEL VIEW, then select the stereo track.)

BTW, there's a fine user-run forum for help with any aw16g/1600 questions via one of the friendliest groups of people I've run into online: http://forum.dijonstock.com/

thanks jeffree, dijonstock is exactly what i needed.
i'll probably be bothering them for a few weeks as i navigate the learning curve!
