TelePaul - the tempo varies from slow to less slow in each half, most noticeable at the change from ac to elec. I didn't use a click.

ido1957 - many thanks. I was thinking southern rock there.

MadAudio - Yeah!
Now that will be a challenge for the drummer. :)

Thanks Tim.....may not get anywhere, but it will force me to play something besides teh 4 patterns I know so far.... :D
Very nice sound quality. I like the part you did in the electric section especially. In the acoustic section I'm imagining something very simple like a light-sounding cymbal on the backbeats.

Eck -

No doubt. But I think the changes happen naturally, somewhat in relation to the level of musical intensity. But to be honest, I'm only basing that on my own sense of following the ac rhythm gtr as I was adding the other gtr and bass parts.

I'm doing a little reworking of the EQ on the acoustic section, as I think I may have thinned them out too much there. I'm just discovering Reaper's automation abilities with applying changes that way.

The song sounds tight enough, with no sudden weird tempo changes. It does flow nicely, but it will be hard for most drummers to follow the music rather than the drummer being the leader.
The sample that someone posted of the drums is very loose although I really like the drum sound.

hey tim. cool progression man. i like seeing you cross over to a bluesy style. you murder on the classical stuff and if you keep it up you're going to do the same with the blues stuff. you been listening to the kings of leon man? :D you got a bit of that vibe going on.

Really nice playing Tim. The acoustics are a little dry for my taste but they sound good never-the-less. I see you have the 'electric guitarist screaming to get out syndrome' too. :D

oh i wanna put drums to this... we'll see how it goes. If im happy with my results ill post!

sounds good Dogman! excellent. :D

oh and Tim, kick-ass job on the guitars man. i love it.
Thanks Zed....this is the first time I have tried playing to music. It was pretty hard. :o

Travis, Chris, Nick, Zed - thanks much for your comments.

Travis - I'll check out Kings of Leon, thanks.

Chris - agree, too dry. Working on a remix.

Hey Tim, I'm going to hit this on the week end. When I first saw that MAD said he'd do something, I thought you were ok....But now I see that Dog is the only one that put up track....

Dogman, you have balls, man.....It's not an easy tempo to play to, especially with no click. You really impressed me, it's good drumming, man. Seems you've improved alot just since the first clip you posted a few weeks ago. You rawk, buddy.

K Tim, if it's not too late, I'll do something on the week end.

This is going to be a fun tune to play to......if I'm allowed. :)

Thanks Rami....I figure it can't hurt to try....it gave me something to do that wasn't strictly "practice".... :D

Hey Tim.....

I did this last night. I got to tell you that I thought this would be the easiest thing I've ever done...Turned out it might be the hardest. :D

Besides no click track, I had to actualy take it part by part and learn where the tempo swings were, because it really speeds up at some points. Which is cool when it's just the guitar track because it goes with the energy. But a little trickier to play to. :)

Let me know what you think. I can re-mix it if you want, or send you my tracks.

Fuck dude...that's pretty cool.... (sorry.... :o )

I like that. It's very tastefull. Well done. That fits the song structure, and fills it out well.

I think you done good by the tune. ;)

Can you post me up a link to just the drums? Just 128K would be cool...I just want to learn something like this. It's a bit busier than the stuff I've tried so far, but I might be able to learn the basics of it quick enough to keep me happy. :D

Thanx Dog....You did an excellent job on your track, too. And I appreciate what you did even more after playing to the same track.

I'll have to transfer just the drum files and make an MP3 out of them. Give me a few hours, though.

Thanks man...I'd just like to try and learn it, as it sounds pretty good. Should keep me busy for a few weeks... :D

Rami! - sounds fantastic. You’re the man… the sultan of snare… the king of the kick, the stickmeister…

Can I get the individual tracks? And a stereo mix of the drumset? Maybe 320 kbps mp3s?

No problem, Tim. Thanx. :)

I'll post the individual and stereo drum tracks later tonight and let you know where to get them.
