Workout in E major

Really just a scale practice session that got out of hand. First half is acoustic, second half electric. I think a drumset part, minimalist on the first half, more intense on the second, would fill it out just right if anyone is so inclined.

I don't play drums but I thought I'd give you a thumbs up on the tune! Very inspiring, and reminiscent in places of a few Southern Rock bands from my youth. Excellent chops Mr Lawler.....and the tone on the electric is sweet....

:D :) :D :)

TelePaul - the tempo varies from slow to less slow in each half, most noticeable at the change from ac to elec. I didn't use a click.

ido1957 - many thanks. I was thinking southern rock there.

MadAudio - Yeah!

Man, nice little tune and I'd like to try some drums for it, but this is nice and easy. I can only play things that are nice.......and rough. :p

Thanks for listening Dogman and Greg. Rough... haha, OK, but just watch out for Ike, man.

Sounds nice, Tim.
Rich and full guitars.

I especially dig the Electric guitar sound very classic

I'm really wondering what kind of acoustic guitar that was...
Thank you PushtoVent. It's an old Suzuki dreadnought. It's kind of a thumpy gtr, but hey, I got it for free so I can't complain. It's the one on the left below.

Nakatira - glad you liked it.

I may retrack the opening elec figure of the parallel 4ths to get it more in tune. I'm also thinking the acoustic section could use a simple bass part.

Acoustic guitars sound nice. I especially like the rhythm one, that's the kind of sound I've been trying to get but just can't seem to with my guitar. :p

Acoustic lead in the beginning is good, but I've heard better from you! The song gets real good when the electric guitar comes in, I love it.

I think a bass (during the first part) and some simple drums throughout would make it even better.

Tim, would you have just the rythm guitar by itself? :D

Thanks danny.guitar and Dogman.

Dogman, do you mean you want a copy of the acoustic gtr track?

Well, the whole rythm if you have it....I'm trying to play along on drums, and get my timing messed up with the lead. :o

Agreed! :D

I really liked the tone of the bass on the electric part.

E major workout sans leads Glad you're going to give it a go on drums. :)

BTW, It'd be great if anybody wanted to add a lead guitar over it.

Rokket -
I really liked the tone of the bass on the electric part.
Thanks! It's my debut as a bass player, heh.

MadAudio -
Gonna get to this in the next couple of days........
Good. er, I mean... Hey, no rush. :)

Thanks Tim.....may not get anywhere, but it will force me to play something besides teh 4 patterns I know so far.... :D

Not being a drummer, this is more for me, than you.... :D
