This recording was done live. It was outdoors and I was able to separate the instruments enough that bleed was minimal. (That part I am happy with, but the rest? Well...) Yes, I know some things are off key. Hey, with amateur local bands, you get what you get.
I was asked to come to a beer party and record by tapping into the stage mics from their sound guy. At least everyone was quiet for most of the recording. (...early on in the party.)
The only thing that was recorded in the studio is the vocal track. This is because the singer botched it up and wanted to retrack later to correct mistakes. Even this was rushed because he couldn't be bothered with trying different mics or placement. He just wanted to get going. We also added one guitar fill. They wanted to fill up the chorus more so there is a third guitar at the buildup.
I did over-dub the "crossstick" snare piece at the end because the original didn't come through very good. The rest of the drums are original.
