Walter I love the sound of you playing backed up by that train track rhythm. Katherine really know when to hold & when to give doesn't she?
I also love the anticipation at the beginning when she's find the pace.
What guitar called out to you for that session?
Is the barking something you dropped on or is it spontolicious?

Cheers

hi rayc: Thanks. Katherine and I have special relationship. She is a highly trained, time drummer, and I am a highly untrained, wacko time player. Sometimes we hit it right, and sometimes we don't, but either way I like it because it is a challange for both of us to play with each other. I played my MIK Tokai copy of a gibson 335. Walter

Me too. Walter's spontaneous and unfiltered approach to making music is inspiring... play it... mix it... move on. Some good sense there.

Hey Walter....

My Baby.....Cool, uptempo song. I like the guitar tone, and the ringing chords during the main rhythm....Fun tune man......

Hurt+Pain....nice slow tempo stuff....again, a great tune....nice harp.

Drums fit really well on these tunes. Nice job...and it sounds like you had great fun.....Thanks for the listen man....

thanks for listening everyone. We were literally within arms lenght of each other, and the drums really bled big time into the vocal mic. Katherine can play quieter than any other drummer I have worked with. Jimmy carl black, who played with FZ&TM of invention, was the only other that could come close to her.

Katherine told me today the drums were too loud. I told her basically, of the 6 mics I set up, the final mix really only used 3. 2 on the guitar amp, and one on the vocals, and they are as quiet as I could get them.

We are moving out of state soon, and I have learned that our next home will have to have a large, hardwood floor, plaster walls/ceiling, for my studio. The space I am in now is 10'x20' and basically dead sounding. Live and learn right? Walter
