A RECORDING PROCESS TUTORIAL or GUIDE?

CAn anyone or does anyone have a sorta step by step-
GUide or tutorial how they record?
Like verses, choruses, how to record choruses so they sound good.
Im new to recording on my own and i just need like a guide to
follow.

INcluding levels for mic's vocals, compression, how to use compression and other special effects. This would be most helpful to me and thank you

Home Recording For Dummies....I wish it had been published 20 years sooner, would have saved me a lot of frustration. There are other books available but I consider this to be a must have for anyone just starting out. Of course if you have a specific question or problem this forum is the best place to ask and expect a realistic answer or solution.
