A Psychadelic blues...Toejam Soup

Whats up...been a bit down lately, and had the house to my self, so after a few beers...I came up with this...used my Strat for all guitars...haven't used it in awhile and felt good to play it!I think there is some good ideas/themes in here but it is a bit scattered...any thoughts/critiques are much appreciated as always!

Variaxman - you sound SO assured with the strat in your hands. This is a mature piece of psych blues. Some of the notes your squeeze off are truly lovely.
I started off playing the steam but I'm stopping now so I can download it - good, good, good modern blues guitar playing.
the backing is well constructed & sympathetic to the need to bleed. the drums are bloody nice too. Perhaps you should stay in again soon.
 
Nice sounds, and tones....really like the vibe to it. Kinda bluesy, maybe even jazzy. Pretty snazzy though.

Got no nits myself...nice listen. I like it. :cool:
 
rayc - Thanks for the kind words!Yeah, the Strat definitely has a different vibe to it!I'm thinking I like this about 3/4 of the way thru...then it gets a bit "wanky"....probably gonna re-do it...The drums were session loops by Simon Phillips....Thanks again!

Drums sound cool, perhaps the lead guitar is too harsh and loud at times. The rhythm you have here is cool, but feels too far in the back sometimes on my system anyway.
Yeah, awesome track, enjoyed the playing and feel to this! Kind of a mix between satriani's searching and is there love in space. Cool :cool: :cool:

Nice bluesy-ish crunchy sound on lead git.

Nice verb.

Nice bass line.

SnakeDog5050 - Hey Snake!Thanks for listening...Yeah, I kinda struggle with getting a good tone with my Strat....it is kinda piercing to me at times as well...gonna address some volume balance issues you and others have mentioned on my remix this week.Thanks for the feedback...I appreciate it!

Hey Rami...thanks man..yeah...I did go kinda "fill" happy...the drummer in my real band thinks I go overboard all the time and set up things a real drummer would never do :) ....I guess maybe 'cause one of my all time fav drummers, Keith Moon, used to play a song like it was one big fill... :)
