Hello Fellows, I am new to this forum, I am glad a site like this exists, cause I have a problem that bothers me a lot and I hope I can get some help from here!
I am using a mac, os.x Yosemite 10.10.3, recording with logic pro x 10.1.1
my recording interface is Tascam uh-7000 and I am using condenser microphone which is rode nt-1.
When I just bought my Tascam and Rode, I had my friend came over to test them out with me. On that day, the recording went well, we are both pleased with the quality of theirs. So as my friend left, I put the interface and microphone back into their boxes for a few days. Until I am all available to set them up in my room, which is today.
However, when I plugged them all on, ready to record. I notice that there is a weird radio wave like noise going on thru my headphone which did not occur the other night when me and my buddy first test them. This noise only occur when the phantom power is on with the mic plugged in, If I switch the phantom power on without the mic plugged in, the noise will not show.
I am not sure whether if it is the mac, tascam uh-7000, or rode nt-1 is having a problem, can anyone help? Much appreciated!
