A live room ok?

I'm still in the process of building my studio, but with the size of the whole entire room its pretty small. The deminsion of the room is 11x15, and in a previous post I gave some drawings on how I would like to make it. Now I'm considering of making it into a live room instead. Would building a wall to divide it into two rooms (1 live room, 1 control room) be ok? It will cut the size of the room in half, or just leave it open and put a small desk in there for my console and other recording devices?

Ethan Winer's studio consists of one room because it's better acoustically to have as much space as possible.

Better one good room that two that are too small.
