Well I have another tune for you guys. It is a bit over 6 minutes so grab a girl or that c12 you love so much and snuggle up close. This is a powerful song about a girl and it is my favorite at the moment of the songs we have.

Let me know what you think

cool

You didn't ask for critique so I am not sure. Just couple of things that I noticed (all IMHO). I listened on cans so it might be just that.

The drums sounded distant comparing to the guitars and I think it racks the groove. I couldn't lock into the rythm it seem that guitar was ahead of the drums. It's not that apperent on heavier parts,
more with the clean guitar. Also sounds like singer is off a little with on low parts. But little off I guess could be a cool thing now days.
I like the guitar part that starts about 3:43 behind the vocal, very nice. I think it's at the end too.

Is there a lot/any compression on everything? I'm not very expirienced in this so I'm trying to see if I can recognize things in a mix as I listen? thanks

cheers

PS it's a good thing you sad what the song is about I coudn't make out one word LOL :D

Thoughts

Decent song.

I thought the singer struggled a bit with the verses. Seemed a bit too low for his range. It's a stark contrast with the chorus/bridge where he generated much more power and was obviously more in his range.

I liked the added guitar part at 3:43 as well. Added a nice effect. I thought I heard a slight vocal sync issue at 3:53. But it was slight.

One recommendation would be to experiment with some EQing of the lead vocal. It seems to dominate the song and pushes the guitars out of the way.

just to say

I thought that the guitar riff was awsome, it reminded me of something else though. When the drums come in, absolutely ace! The bass is good too. I was absolutely loving it, dancing about the bedroom BUT THEN..............

The melody and singing let me down completely. I turned it off.

Put it back on again and hetsitated longer. The chorus was mucho better, really fit your voice perfectly. the melody is the letdown. I thought perhaps it would be a bit funkier, like Jamiriquio.

Anyway, thats just what i thought. Please don`t take offense.

The guitar riff sounds like that old Doobie Brothers tune. I agree with erland that the vocals need work. The part does sound like it's maybe a bit too low for the singer. Pretty cool chorus section.

Good tune beezo, considering its length- it didnt seem too long which is good. The recording sounded fine to me, though I'd have to agree with triple M-the verse vocal was a little shaky-especially the first verse-I was tempted to turn it off-but I hung in and I'm glad I did. Great chorus-very catchy. Look forward to your next.....
